Artist's Description

**** I'm hovering over an elderly Native grandmother in a wintry night dream scape. The moon has cast a blue hue onto the glistening snow blanket. I float down toward the Grandmother until she and I are one. I/we cover our hands with some kind of sweet sav as we lay down behind a large snow embankment.
I hear the sound of snow being packed underneath running paws getting closer and closer then slowing as they round the snowdrift to our hiding place. The three strong and elegant wolves lick our hands as I realize that we were calling them to us. The wolf spirit is still with me.****

About Kevin Chasing Wolf Hutchins

Kevin Chasing Wolf Hutchins

I have been creating art all of my life. But it wasn’t until I began seeking spiritually that I found inspiration to share my journey of life through painting. I believe that artists of all kinds are scouts of the human spirit. I feel that It is our responsibility to delve deep within ourselves into the greater potential of who we are and then share that with whatever talents we are gifted with. Once, at a gathering of Native elders and youth, a spiritual leader of the Northern Cheyenne people sitting across from me stated in a very powerful way that, “To be a true Indian, you have to know who you are and then give that back to the people.”
